Cricket Studies at Myerscough College by Daniel Atkinson

We thought it was about time we wrote a blog for DOMS Ease Oil!

We are a small college based in Manchester at Lancashire County Cricket Club and have 35 students who study and play cricket with us full time – not a bad life is it!

We play a good standard of cricket nationally as well as studying a full time BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (it’s a different option to Traditional A Levels, with less exams and more practical assessments – but it still allows the students to go to University) – we also train twice a week and have a full Strength and Conditioning Programme so it is quite a heavy workload for the students!

We saw DOMS Ease Oil’s company on Twitter and started following as it seemed like a really good idea to allow our students to recover more quickly and be fresher and more ready for games or training! It has turned out to be a really good relationship so far – the students love the different oils, the smell and the fact that it really does help them recover.

We would highly recommend the oils to anyone who regularly takes part in physical activity as they are brilliant. We also have DOMS Ease Oil’s brand ambassador for cricket as one of our students – Will Shuttleworth is our first team captain this year and uses the oils regularly.

We have only been playing fixtures this season since the middle of April but have already played nine fixtures and have plenty more to come, we arranged some testing fixtures preseason and are now into our normal season programme, finishing at the end of June, we’d really appreciate any support and you can keep up to date with us on Twitter (@My_CricketOT) for the rest of the season!

Thanks again to DOMS Ease Oil for their support as they have been brilliant since we ‘met’ back in February! We look forward to working together for a long time to come!
